Situated before Mt. Ariake, also known as the “Fuji of Nagano”, this art museum sits at a high elevation that allows you to look out over the rural views of Azumino at the foot of the Northern Japan Alps. A collection of local artists’ pottery and oil painting works showcasing the charm of the Azumino area are on display. A café corner and a terrace from which you can sketch are also available. A wonderful lavender garden is located in front of the museum.
