Yukio Tabuchi (1905-1989) was a mountain photographer and insect researcher who climbed his beloved Japan Alps hundreds of times. On display at the museum is a collection featuring 73,000 original prints of his mountain photographs, as well as photography tools, butterfly miniatures, mountain climbing gear, and many other items that belonged to Tabuchi.
